In 2010 the Desert Park is

on an exciting and ambitious project – the Desert Farm. Our quest is to grow and harvest sufficient native central Australian food to feed the wildlife in the Park’s collection. We may well produce enough ‘wild foods’ for the Desert Park’s café. No one has attempted a project of this caliber before.

Your school can help the Desert Park reduce its carbon footprint by helping us grow and harvest native foods. Students can work with our team to learn about the ethnobotany of Central Australia.
